I have had the pleasure of being principal of Tatuanui since 2005. My teaching career started at Otatara Primary in Invercargill, from there I went on to teach at all levels of primary school at Nawton Primary in Hamilton. I trained as a Reading Recovery teacher and taught at Hillcrest Normal School before moving onto Tamahere Model Country School as Senior Teacher, then Hillcrest Normal school as Assistant Principal. I also enjoyed over this time 3 stints of secondment up to the University of Education to lecture in the Language Arts Department before deciding on following the path of principalship.
