Every school has a TEZ (Transport Entitlement Zone). This is decided by the Ministry of Education. Children living within the school zone and the designated distance from the school are entitled to travel on the Ministry-funded school bus. Tatuanui School has a designated school Bus 706 (old 2150), Bus 705 (old 2149), and Bus Route 708 (old 2153 - Tavs Bus). Please contact the school to see whether or not your child is entitled to travel using this option.
Many of our children come to school by private transport either individually or by carpooling. The school can put interested parents in contact with each other if this is feasible.
Others opt to travel to and from school in the school minivan. This is a user-paid service. If you are interested in this option please contact the school for further information.
All children traveling by bus or minivan are issued with high-visibility safety vests.
